Fierce Leadership is based on the foundation that every relationship is built on conversation. The quality of the conversation determines the quality of the relationship. Surface level conversations lead to surface level relationships in business, community, and family. In order to have deep, enriching, and meaningful relationships, you must have deep, enriching, meaningful conversations.

With that foundation, the book outlines six common ‘best practices’ that aren’t really working. For each of these there is a guide to identifying the issues created by the best practice and the steps to improve the outcomes. As you would expect, the way to improve outcomes is through the conversations you have with your employees, teams, customers, and family.
