This is a book for women. Men need not apply. However, for working women who feel like ‘there’s never enough time’ reading this book will give you a new perspective.
There were several surprising lessons I took away from this book, all centered around the lies that we tell ourselves about time. If you feel like you don’t have time to do things you enjoy, you don’t have time to exercise, or you don’t get enough sleep, you will find when you read this book that you’ve been telling yourself a big fat lie. You have the time. You are getting enough sleep. You are just caught up in the narrative that society has accepted as truth.
Getting a glimpse into other professional women’s schedules was very gratifying. There is instructional value in being able to take a look at someone else’s life who has a similar circumstance. For me, the best part was that I found that I’m not alone. My life doesn’t look all that different from someone else’s. There is comfort in that. But, I also got a lot of great ideas about how to take better advantage of the time I do have for pursuing things outside of work (and sleep).
This book will open your eyes to the amount of time you have and give you a better appreciation for how you want to send it.
