Project management oversight templates

The following templates were featured in Project Management for Corporate Executives, by Rachel Berbiglia.  These templates are appropriate for managing a project or group of projects.

Project Overview - a simple one-page summary of a proposed project.  This document is used to collected information about a potential project in order to be able to assess the viability of the project.

Project Prioritized List - this template provides a basic information needed to keep track of all of the projects that are being proposed or worked within an organization.  In addition, it allows for the weighting of projects in order to determine where resources should be placed.

Project Status Report - we feel that our project status report is a simple and effective way to track key information about each project team.  Although this template is generally used by the Project Manager rather than an executive sponsor, we encourage you to review it and incorporate it into your process.  We also have a powerpoint template that provides a higher level read-out on project status.

Change Control - a template that can be used to track changes to the project after the project charter has been established.  Our template provides two paths for changes depending on how material they are.

Multiple Project Status Tracking - when you need to track multiple projects run by multiple Project Managers, this template provides a simple, straight-forward dashboard that is both simple to maintain and to understand.

Lessons Learned - this document provides some examples of the types of questions that should be asked during a lessons learned session at the completion of a project or major phase.

Project Approval Operating Procedures - A sample operating procedure that can be used if you need to set up a process for managing projects within your organization.
